Black and Brown people are facing the brunt of Trump’s white-supremacist, attempted authoritarian takeover of America. Black people have been here facing this threat for over 400 years (since 1619). They built the very foundation of America and have contributed to every aspect of our society. They know how to fight oppression, and they continue to inspire action like no other. Their courage inspires the continued struggle for a more perfect union, not just for themselves but for everyone.
We Whites don’t cling to the backs of Black people to help carry us to the other side of this turbulent (and often violent) river and then leave them behind. We work together to support their rise to equality, justice and reparations.
